前記と重複しますが、大阪大学コンベンションセンターＭＯホール（客席数５００席）での上演を予定しています。世界各国の学生が協力して創った作品を、阪大生のみならず、老人ホームのお年寄りや従業員の方、近郊にお住まいの団塊世代で退職された方々にも見て戴けるようにしようと思っています。
The Basics: Kizuna will be performed at the Osaka University Convention Center. Actors and student actors from around the world are scheduled to participate. In addition to local seniors, we hope to include to the greatest extent caretakers and health workers and those who are involved in elder care and elder care facilities. In addition, some actors were invited from Shanghai, China.
また、中国人出演者の一部は、上海から招聘したいと考えています。公演三週間前の４月１３日（日）より、集中稽古を行います。
ストーリーは、作者が上海留学で出会った中国の人々や、大学で出会った留学生たちとの実際の交流の中から生まれたものです。メンバーのほとんどが現在、祖父母と暮らしている、あるいは暮らした経験を持っています。高齢化問題は、決して対岸の火事ではなく、私達自身の問題である事を認識した上で、「絆とは何か」という問題を提示できる公演にしたいと考えています。
Additional Background: Kizuna was born through collaboration between the author and students from Shanghai and is the product of meaningful interaction between Japanese and Chinese students. Most of the members currently live with their Grandparents and close family, or at one time or another have experienced a lifestyle based around the extended nuclear family. The participants familiarity with the elderly enhances their awareness of the challenge posed by the graying of both Japanese and Chinese populations in the 21st century. By harnessing this personal knowledge shared by the cast and crew of Kizuna we hope to present the question of “what is a ‘human connection’ or bond, and how does it relate to the elderly” on stage.
